JOB DESCRIPTION
As a member of the MMOTA (Multi Module Over-The-Air Software Updates) Automation Test Team, Triage Test Engineers will focus on system level triage, troubleshooting, and defect root cause analysis of embedded systems SW within Product Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis of log files to root cause and characterize software defectsUtilization of defect management systems to triage and track defectsCollaboration with development teams to investigate and help resolve software defectsProvide feedback to test teams for creation and/or execution of test casesReport status of triaged resultsContribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum development sprints.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAbility to understand SW architecture documents.Experience with analyzing logs and root cause analysis.Fundamental experience with white box SW testingFundamental understanding of Linux and/or QNX, shell scripting, SSH, etc.Experience with defect tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla, Rally, or equivalent)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a multi-site team environment where self-driven and self-motivate capabilities are key qualities
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to understand structural and behavioral UML diagramsExperience with Test Case management systems (ie: TestRail), CI/CD pipeline system (ie: Jenkins) and source code versioning control systems (GitHub)Experience with modems and/or wireless technologiesUnderstanding of CAN bus technologies & toolsSW development experience
