Position Summary
The Training Manager is accountable for managing and executing all training programs within the Coram Revenue Cycle organization. Key goals of the team are to deliver a consistent learning experience, a best-in-class customer experience, and build colleague engagement. The position will lead a team of trainers and curriculum design professionals who collaborate with Coram leadership to define the organizational and role-based education needed to ensure that colleagues are effective and productive in delivering service to our patients.The Training Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of a Coram Revenue Cycle training program that will provide staff with the learning necessary to demonstrate role-readiness and achieve departmental goals. As the leader, you will design and manage the learning strategy based on a variety of variables. The leader will assign resources to projects and ongoing training efforts based on evolving business priorities. The position is also responsible to understand the performance and productivity metrics that demonstrate increasing aptitude among the functional teams across Coram, and tie those back to the learning organization’s work and strategic roadmap.
Key functions include:
Class Scheduling and Execution: Oversee the Training Supervisor in managing the Training Schedule, and the Training Delivery staff in hosting the classes, to support the dynamic training needs of the Revenue Cycle teams.
Classes include new hire orientation, role-based training, skill builders / refreshers, and system enhancements and upgrades.
Support Training Supervisor in partnering with Revenue Cycle leaders to understand the upcoming training class needs and balance the timing of classes while maximizing the limited training resources.
Manage training evaluation processes and activities to provide measurable outcomes.
Curriculum Design and Maintenance: Oversee the Training Designers in creating and maintaining the Revenue Cycle Curriculum, including classroom learning materials, lesson plans, and job aids.
Maintain Training Roadmap, to ensure long-term strategy appropriately supports the learning needs of the Revenue Cycle teams.
Support Training Designers in partnering with Revenue Cycle leaders, Business Process team, and subject matter experts to understand training content needs.
Provide appropriate guidance and oversight to the Designers on curriculum enhancements, ensuring the curriculum and supporting materials remain accurate and reflect current processes and priorities.
Support Supervisor and Training Designers in managing Training Ticket requests, including appropriate prioritization across tickets and against other training and curriculum responsibilities.
Maintain centralized repositories (SharePoint and Learning Hub) for training materials and courses accessible to all Revenue Cycle employees.
People Leadership: Oversee the development of the Training team and foster a supportive workplace environment of colleague growth and success.
Supervise and support trainers to ensure they are ready and prepared to train new and existing colleagues including onboarding and refresher courses that will allow colleagues to maintain a high level of skill and knowledge of their positions.
Creates a supportive work environment for employees through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example, and goal setting. Encourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues, and professionalism.
Develop the capabilities of the team and provide meaningful growth opportunities for team members.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
Strong knowledge of training industry concepts such as Instructional Design, virtual classroom facilitation, and training effectiveness and outcomes measurement
Ability to influence key stakeholders at various organizational levels
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Strong leadership skills and commitment to a team approach, with both direct reports and business partners
Strong relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop long-term relationships with key business partners in support of the achievement of their teams’ objectives
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
Practical knowledge of healthcare industry, particularly home infusion and enteral nutrition therapy
Required Qualifications
Minimum three years of experience in training management in a corporate, operations or production environment with knowledge of adult learning theories and modalities
Minimum two years of leadership experience
Experience with training evaluation methods, variety of learning modalities, and tools
Preferred Qualifications
Training industry certifications, such as Certified Professional in Talent Development or Epic Principal Trainer
Demonstrated ability to manage geographically disperse team
Familiarity with Coram operations
Experience managing and/or supporting Revenue Cycle operations
Education
Bachelor’s degree or greater in Education or relevant related field (including Healthcare and Business)Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
