About Tour Operations General Manager - Jackson Hole Adventures/Scenic Safaris/Mad River

  Job Description

  As a Tour Operations General Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of tour operations within the organization. Your role involves managing a team of tour coordinators, ensuring seamless execution of tour itineraries, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with various departments, suppliers, and partners to optimize tour logistics, uphold quality standards, and contribute to the overall success of the company's tour programs.

  Job Responsibilities

  Team Management:

  Lead and manage a team of tour coordinators, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

  Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.

  Tour Planning and Coordination:

  Develop and execute comprehensive tour itineraries, considering logistics, accommodation, transportation, and other relevant details.

  Collaborate with travel suppliers, hotels, transport providers, and attractions to negotiate and secure favorable rates and terms.

  Responsible for partnerships with local concierges, resort/hotel managers and the Chamber to increase our group business

  Quality Assurance:

  Maintain and enhance quality standards for all aspects of tour operations to ensure a positive customer experience.

  Regularly review and assess the performance of tour services and implement improvements as needed.

  Customer Service:

  Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and effectively.

  Work closely with the customer service team to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  Budget Management:

  Develop and manage budgets for tour operations, ensuring financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  Monitor and control expenses to meet financial targets.

  Logistics and Transportation:

  Coordinate transportation logistics, including ground transportation and flights, to ensure smooth operations.

  Monitor and optimize transportation schedules for efficiency.

  Compliance and Risk Management:

  Stay informed about travel regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

  Implement and enforce compliance with legal and safety standards.

  Managing contract and partnership with NPS

  Reporting and Analysis:

  Generate regular reports on tour performance, customer feedback, and financial metrics.

  Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  Proven experience in tour operations or a similar role within the travel industry.

  Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

  Knowledge of travel regulations, destination management, and industry trends.

  Proficient in relevant software applications for itinerary planning and budget management.

  Personal Attributes:

  Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.

  Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

  Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
