The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration's provide a hub for students, faculty, and industry leaders to connect. There are six C&Is, including the Center for Hospitality Research, Center for Real Estate and Finance, Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations, Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship, Cornell Institute for Food and Beverage Management, and Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures. Collectively, the C&Is are designed to promote industry growth and enrich the educational curriculum by providing opportunities for students to put their learning into practice and work directly with corporate members.
Temporary C&I Assistant Opportunity:

This position interfaces with various stakeholders at Cornell, including External Relations, Marketing and Communications, Alumni Affairs & Development, eCornell, faculty, students, and other C&Is across campus. Under general supervision, in a service-oriented environment, this position provides a high level of programmatic and administrative support to the following C&Is: Center for Hospitality Research, Center for Real Estate and Finance, Cornell Center for Innovative Hospitality Labor and Employment Relations, Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship, and Cornell Institute for Food and Beverage Management.
This is a full time, temporary, benefits eligible position. The duration of this position is six months.

Pay range for this position is $24.78 - $28.80 an hour.
Main responsibilities include:
Receptionist and general office dutiesGeneral administrative tasks related to the C&I programsAdministrative and logistical support for C&I eventsMarketing supportSupport of Pillsbury's Entrepreneur in Residence program and the Center for Real Estate and Finance's Real Estate Professionals programOther administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Two-year degree in business or related field or equivalent, three (3) to four (4) years, of related experience. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Must be customer service oriented in addition to a friendly, and professional demeanor (tact). Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.Must be able to work nonstandard hours if needed. Technical: Must be proficient in a variety of computer-based software systems including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, and MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Other: Effective Communications (oral and written); Time Management (prioritization and deadline management); Organization; Self-Leadership (motivation and direction); Analytical Skills (detail-oriented, problem-solving); Customer Service; Demonstration of Cornell's Skills for SuccessAbility to work independently and balance the priorities of multiple stakeholders.
