Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.
The role incumbent is responsible for all Stamping related Center of Excellence topics within TE Automotive and Global TE. The main area of activity is the coordination and the leveraging of the CoE development projects for Stamping processes to develop future breakthrough initiatives.
Your main tasks:
As the Stamping Center of Excellence Lead, you will:
Drive Technological Advancements:
Spearhead the delivery of Stamping processes with next-generation techniques, ensuring a competitive edge and long-term performance advancements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align Stamping CoE activities with business units, fostering breakthrough initiatives.Innovate for Efficiency:
Identify and implement initiatives for plant productivity increase, material savings, and cost & capex reduction.Utilize digital tools, data, and AI to identify opportunities and drive productivity across Stamping processes.Global Standards and Collaboration:
Develop and deploy global standards for tools, equipment, and processes, emphasizing safety and sustainability.Collaborate with internal and external partners, including institutes, universities, and suppliers, to drive innovation and efficiency.Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Execute and contribute to strategic planning, influencing senior leadership with innovative manufacturing approaches.Lead the TE Global Stamping CoE community, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Your Profile:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.8+ years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development roles, preferably within the automotive industry.5+ years in project management, with a strong background in stamping-related technical concepts.Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of operational excellence, Lean tools, and Six Sigma methodologies.Strong familiarity with a range of stamping manufacturing, from low volume specialty to high volume, high-speed production.Innovative Mindset:
Proven ability to think "out of the box" and implement innovative productivity techniques.Experience in stamping equipment design and hands-on integration.Global Perspective:
Ability to influence across the organization and work seamlessly with global peers.Willingness to travel frequently to support a global manufacturing organization.
