What you'll do... :
Troubleshoot and repair electronic technology equipment on a board and component level, using measurement and testing equipment, soldering techniques, software utilities/tools and various hand tools. This includes the testing and repair of IBM-PC compatibles, monitors, and printers. This position is in the Repair Depot repairing computer equipment to the board level at a repair bench.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment to the board or component level, including final cleaning of components.
Perform accurate record keeping for all repairs completed and repair parts used.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all PC hardware in the field.
Provide written and verbal communication to appropriate groups concerning equipment repairs.
Attend regular training sessions scheduled by the Manager.
Secure and maintain certifications for current troubleshooting techniques on all applicable equipment.
Clean and address cosmetic issues on all equipment serviced by department as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout your shift.
Mandatory overtime as business needs dictate and at management discretion.

It would be even better if you also had... :
Two-year degree or trade school certification in the PC repair or equivalent experience.
One year of microcomputer repair experience in H&R Block’s Depot Repair environment, or 2 years equivalent electronics repair experience.
What you'll bring to the team... :
Currently enrolled in a two-year accredited program or minimum two years working experience in a microcomputer environment.
Basic understanding of test equipment and diagnostic software.
Experience with and knowledge of proper soldering techniques.
Ability to solve hardware/software problems through analysis and troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of MS Windows.
Ability to work well in a group atmosphere, as part of a team or individually.
