The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Advanced Processing Solutions Engineering and Sciences (APS E&S) Business pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefining the leading edge of exotic new technologies in computation, system security, and AI. Advanced Processing Solutions Hardware Engineering & Sciences organization is seeking managers to support our growing team. This opportunity includes both functional (people) leadership and direct individual or technical leadership responsibilities. You will lead a team of technical staff comprising a wide range of engineering and science fields in support of APS Transformational Computing programs.

Key roles and responsibilities include:Lead a team of 8-12 technical staff in management roleExecute in a direct contributor or technical leadership role supporting APS programs.Work in cooperation with program management to track execution and provide technical leadership to the team.Work with training leads to development of technical training and drive functional excellence.Support administrative management responsibilities including staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development.This position requires work onsite at either Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD locations.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience including at least one year as an integrated product team or technical team leadProven leadership skills as a people and technical leader, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance per business requirements (US Citizenship is a prerequisite).Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in STEM12 years of related engineering experienceDemonstrated performance as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leaderExperience with Lean-Agile development for software or hardware systemsActive TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphSalary Range: $145,000 - $217,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
