OnsiteThis position will be to assist in providing First Tier support for non-standard/legacy computer administration for an airport client. It includes the deployment and maintenance of small/medium-sized production compute environments.The team supports a variety of Microsoft operating systems ranging from DOS to Windows 11, as well as several variations of Linux including Ubuntu and Redhat. Hardware platforms including desktops, laptops, industrial PCs, workstations, and server hardware to support those operating systems.Responsible for the testing, evaluation, implementation, and support of various platforms (hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools.) Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and systems programming. Implement releases, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment. Ensure platform performance and availability meet enterprise objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning. Duties may include capacity planning, workload modeling, system maintenance/administration, and diagnostics.Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pmOnsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.Primary Responsibilities:
Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolves difficult customer situations while escalating issues when appropriateWorks under limited supervision to aid in one or more disciplines within IT (e.g., business, and technical applications, IT infrastructure, security and compliance, desktop support, printers, etc.)Installs, configures, administers, supports, and maintains systems, including associated hardware asset inventoryInstall, customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot operating systems and other systems softwareDemonstrates problem solving and analytical skills, particularly with PC, server, & printer hardwareConducts basic documentation activities, including operation documents, user feedback, contributions to team notes, user manuals, etc.Identifies, prioritizes, researches, and resolves problemsPerform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problemsCoordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providersQualifications/ Experience Needed:
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
