Odyssey is recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join the team. The technicalexpert filling this position will be a trusted advisor and consultant to thegovernment that supports government-led on-going and future sustainment,modification, and capability upgrade efforts across the NCMC-ITW/AA andLegacy Space C2 enterprises.A key focus for this position is to define executable-level requirements anddeveloping technical solutions that satisfy them; assess existing systemsand their existing requirements and designs; identifies system problems andprovides solutions to address them; design and oversee the implementation ofsystem upgrades; develop a roadmap for the incremental implementation ofcapabilities to achieve the customer's near-term and future goals to ensurethe enterprise is expandable to meet future requirements and threats. Thisposition will support multiple projects and programs from NCMC-ITW/AA andLegacy Space sustainment and the execution of existing programs and projects.Odyssey personnel are assigned the roles of Product Owner and Product LineManager for an Agile Release Team (ART) and/or System Delivery Teamwithin the program office.
Program: The NCMC-ITW/AA Branch sustains unique ITW/AA Cheyenne Mountainsystems, networks, and associated components through an enterprise-wideset of integrated mission capabilities, support services, and dataproducts that provide military authorities with an accurate, timely,unambiguous and continuous warning and attack assessment of air, missile andspace threats. Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:Provide technical expertise and systems engineering skills, includingsystems requirements definition and decomposition, top-level systemsdesign, test design, and test coverage analysis.Ability to interact professionally with DoD end users, DoD customer, andcontractor support personnel. This includes the ability to prepare and presentbriefings to these personnel.Provide analysis support services of technical baseline documentation,including, but not limited to, Concepts of Operation (CONOPs),Algorithm Description Documents, System/Subsystem Design Descriptions,Software Design Documents, Interface Control Documents, Software VersionDescriptions, Software Installation Plans, System Requirements Reviewpackages, Preliminary and Critical Design Review packages, Test ReadinessReview packages, Test Plans and Test Procedures and FCA/PCAs.Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technicaltraining to support programs/initiatives, including but not limited to:acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continuedevolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight.Provide engineering support to conduct formal trade studies based onengineering performance, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, costperformance, life cycle cost, feasibility, capability, reliability,maintainability, risk, and schedule.Provide technical recommendation support services, including reviews,studies, audits, evaluations and analyses, scientific and proceduralguidance, documentation, technical analysis, and support of associatedengineerProvide proposal analysis support services that co pare and quantify proposedsystems, components, approaches for technical feasibility,compatibility, and cost-effectiveness.Provide concepts and requirements analyses support services including, butnot limited to, reviewing and analyzing DoD requirements, assessments,concept, strategy, and audit documentation.Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systemsengineering programs, design, and test results to assure that subsystemand system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications.Prepare technical documents that define, specify, and recommendsystem/subsystem characteristics.
