Work closely with the existing Sustaining Engineers to improve and modify launched products. The Co-op will understand what is required to obtain and maintain regulatory certifications, support released products, execute cost reduction projects and product improvement projects. Duration of Co-Op Assignment expected to be from May or September 2024 to December 2024.
Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
Support and adhere to Parker’s Code of Ethics, ISO requirements, policies, and procedures and observe housekeeping guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Essential
Evaluation and execution of product design changes
Assist in implementation of modified products/processes to the manufacturing floor
Submit documentation to update Engineering Specifications and Testing Procedures
Compile performance data from engineering lab test reports
Submit Product Change Documentation
Communication and coordination of design changes with all phases of operation (Compliance, Production Control, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality)
Assist full time engineering staff with larger projects
Marginal
Work in other departments as required.

Pursuing an Engineering Degree
Autodesk Inventor or other 3D Solid Modeling software
Well organized
Experience with Microsoft Office including MS Teams
Able to work well within a team environment
Able to work on multiple priorities or projects

While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works near moving mechanical parts, comes in contact with water or liquids, and has exposure to electrical shock, vibration, fumes, and chips.
The noise level, while working on the production floor, is usually loud. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate.
