Reporting to the Supply Chain Associate Director the Supplier Performance Manager will be responsible to establish and maintain supplier relationship management processes and governance. The scope covers Suppliers Life cycle management from selection to decommissioning. Objective is to oversee and drive multiple performance parameters including Quality, planning, price/PPV, delivery, time, and project management with targeted suppliers. Lead and manage the purchasing control panel, use business forecast to generate and manage supply guidelines for the company, and lead cost optimization projects in conjunction with the different areas of the company.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain procurement governance between local purchasing team and the different functions interacting with suppliers for BDB.Generate and maintain supply guidelines for the plant based on business forecasts and historical consumptions. Support on projects to improve supplier's forecasting process.Accountable for supplier's life cycle management from selection to decommissioning phase. Lead and collaborate on supplier's strategies for selection, evaluation and change.Collaboratively with other functions such as Quality, Planning, Engineering, R&D and Local/Global Procurement teams, establish quarterly performance reviews with targeted suppliers, drive and follow up actions to improve supplier's performance.Elaborate and analyze Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports, evaluates effectiveness in delivering cost savings, and lead the annual PPV budget process for the SJ instruments plant.Establish and maintain processes for OEM materials.Work closely and proactively with purchasing to establish and maintain inventory levels that support BD San Jose Instruments build schedule.Monitor supplier performance, develop and maintain supplier scorecard. Establish leading indicators and KPI's to drive continuous improvement.
General:
Establish and maintain governance for supplier management.Identify, define, or support staff and functional resources for lean projects, identify ways to eliminate waste and drive sustained performance.Develop, maintain and report KPIs that measure and drive supplier's performance and trends.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred. Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Accounting preferred5+ year's related experience (manufacturing, supply chain and inventory control) in an environment characterized by: highly engineered products with multi-level BOM's; low volume, high mix.APICS Certified or Lean Certification desirable, knowledge of consumption-based replenishment, forecast and MPS, or evidence of on-going professional development. Expertise in utilization of ERP functionality to establish accurate and timely demand/supply signals and Excel skills.
