  Summary About the Position: Serve as the Resident Engineer with direct responsibility for field and contract administration work associated with the construction program assigned to the Resident Office. Supervise the Resident contract administration staff and work operations. Apply full professional engineering knowledge together with practical knowledge of construction methods and techniques in accomplishing assignments. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate the work of the Resident Office. Plan, schedule, monitor, and control construction operations at the Resident Office. Administer and modify construction contracts within the scope of the contract. Serve as the authoritative Corps representative for the Resident office. Assume full responsibility for administering the Districts’ safety program within the Resident Office. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Selective Placement Factor: This position requires possession of a Professional Registration: Professional Engineering (PE), Professional Architect (AIA), or Professional Geologist. (Note: A copy of your current registration must be provided as part of your application packet.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Customer Service Leadership Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. One year supervisory probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Salary Ranges are dependent on assigned Duty Location and Job Series; Fairchild AFB, WA - All Job Series $103,409 - $134,435. Seattle, WA - Job Series 0810/0830/0850 $129,834-$156,393, Job Series 0808/1350 $115,793-$150,535. Management will determine Duty Location placement upon selection. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances MAY BE authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. The following incentives MAY BE authorized: Student Loan Repayment, Advanced In-Hire, Recruitment Incentive, Relocation Incentive. Eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled".
