Minimum Qualifications • Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States• Must be 18 years of age or older• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
Duties Description This position will report to an Information Technology Specialist 3 (SG-23) within ITS- Shared Application Services. The incumbent will be part of the NYBE Oracle Service Cloud Portal team. Duties will include planning and development of OSvC/ NYS Business Express Applications. Approval for this position is critical to the success for ongoing NYBE application development.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:? Knowledge of server side languages such as PHP and Querying languages such as MySQL ? Experience with Client side programming using HTML, CSS (and libraries such as Bootstrap), JavaScript (including JS libraries and frameworks), AJAX? Knowledge of MVC architecture? Understanding and experience with web service integrations? Basic knowledge UI/UX principles ? Ability to interpret project documents and code to requirements ? Technical Documentation of processes and procedures.? Provide training to internal and external users/customers.? Utilize HP ALM for defect management.Implement new transactions in the NYBE Portal? Develop new components and functionality to meet new requirements while adhering to established standards and bestpractices? Contribute to development of Business Express Portal to meet business requirements using well established design patterns? Maintain awareness of and willingness to learn new technologies and innovations in their area of specialty? Collaborate with NYBE team, Business Leaders, Executives, and Program Staff? Ensure compliance with best practices and standards in portal, cloud, and other areas? Defect resolution and tracking? Perform other duties as assigned
