About the Role
Job Purpose:
The Strategy and Alliance manager will be responsible for managing strategic initiatives / activities in the following areas:
1. Developing and managing strategic initiatives to help deliver the plan by improving the efficiency / effectiveness of existing operations and capturing new opportunities to grow / optimize business
2. Enhancing the value of Novartis' product portfolio through acquisitions, strategic alliances, and divestments
Run pipeline and portfolio gap analysis to see what the company needs to sustain a top MNC player in the Turkish market.
Develop partnering-in/-out strategy focusing on top priority gaps in commercial capabilities and portfolios.
Prepare and submit project presentations/ proposal for above country approvals and mandates.
Manage key process related with business partnering including 'Search & evaluation', 'Negotiation', and 'Deal endorsement & closing' as follows:
• Alliance management
• Support & motivate partners to deliver the contractual commitment.
• Arrange training for product information, medical update, compliance, etc.
• Guide partners to keep the compliance with law and Novartis policies (e.g., P3, corporate Citizenship Guideline #3, Code of Conduct, anti-Bribery Policy & 3rd Party Guideline) by close monitoring & training.
• Support partner's marketing activity execution by P3 request preview before submission & shortening approval lead time.
• Design & propose special incentive scheme as recognition of outstanding performance.
• Regularly communicate with Partners
• Organize & drive Alliance Governance structures.
• Monitor & evaluate partners' performance.
• Issue management.
• Ensure reporting and follow up of all spontaneous adverse events (AE) and technical complaints for all Novartis products according to respective SOP.

Languages
Excellent command of both written and spoken English, Turkish
Experiences
In the pharmaceutical industry, a minimum of 5 years of experience in business development is required, with a total of at least 10 years of overall work experience.
