SME Events and Media is seeking a results-driven Strategic Accounts Manager who can deliver a consultative customer sales approach to managing the events, media, and sponsorship portfolios for a select group of key strategic accounts. You will be developing customer relationship management strategies, establishing strong client relationships, and suggesting innovative and customized solutions to meet customer needs in the advanced manufacturing market. Success as a strategic accounts manager will require prior multi-media sales experience in a related industry, broad knowledge of the organization's services, products, and marketing techniques, and the ability to generate new opportunities and business leads for multiple areas. An outstanding strategic accounts manager will be someone whose customer-oriented approach, sales expertise, and ability to represent SME's MT Portfolio suite of product solutions will result in increased profitability within a group of strategic growth customers, meeting or exceeding the revenue goals and metrics of a competitive and rewarding incentive plan. This position reports to the VP, Media.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement key client relationship management strategiesHandle customer queries and find innovative solutions for complex problemsInteract with a higher level of client C-suite executives to present a broader organization-wide perspective for both business and collaborationProvide thought leadership, maintaining a high level of product, industry, and customer knowledgeEstablish efficient communication channels, liaising between key clients and internal departments and monitoring client expectations and satisfactionRecommend and implement improvements to the management of key customer relationshipsMonitor sales performance metrics and results and initiate timely interventionsDevelop strategic accounts territory representing the MT Portfolio (SME Events and SME Media) to include MT Series events exhibits, MT Series events sponsorships and all media productsMeet or exceed individual and team revenue objectives as set by managementProvide exceptional customer service to assure high customer loyalty and retentionActively manage accounts aiming to increase participation across all of SMEPrepare and present targeted customer proposalsDocument sales activities, contracts, and opportunities in SalesforceMaintain all client and prospect records in Personify and Salesforce ensuring the quality and accuracy of reportingActively participate in weekly goal setting and goal achieving meetingsAttend SME Events, competitive events, association meetings and onsite customer meetings as requiredAbility to take initiative, offer new ideas, and keep abreast of market trendsOther duties as assignedPrepare sales forecasts and reports on new business opportunities and growth potential for assigned group of named accounts*MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: *
Bachelor's degree in marketing, engineering, technology, or relatedThree or more years related experience in events, media, or sponsorship salesStrong experience in digital products preferredExperience in manufacturing is a plusProficient in standard word processing programsEffective written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skillsDetail orientedTeam playerWORKING CONDITIONS
