Candidate ideally has income and sales/ues tax experienceand if not then income tax consulting experience is a must. Located nearone of our Baker Tilly offcies highly preferred.
Our SALT practice is made up of 100+ professionals across the U.S.,providing a full spectrum of services including Income & Franchise tax,Sales & Use tax, Real & Personal Property tax, Unclaimed Property andVoluntary Disclosure & Remediation by industry needs. As a member ofthis talented team, you will help clients capitalize on strategic ideasand planning techniques that ensure state and local tax compliance,reduce expenses and enhance cash flow.

Be a trusted advisor to middle market and Fortune 500 clients byproviding strategic state and local tax compliance and consultingservices that lower their tax rates, ensure they are in compliance andprovide value across the spectrum of state and local taxes. Thisincludes:
Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews that analyze income,franchise, sales and use, p yroll, valorem taxes, and others toidentify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits and incentivesand corporate structures that can reduce the client\'s tax burdenResearch state tax issues including nexus determinations, taxabilityanalyses and quantification of potential liabilitiesCounsel clients on state and local tax controversies, includingresearch, drafting client correspondence, prepare ruling requestsand providing guidance in defending against state auditsPlan and execute tax projects requiring a wide scope of expertise,including due diligence and voluntary disclosure projectsPrepare technical memoranda on state and local tax issues forindividuals, corporations, partnerships and LLCsMaintain active communication with clients and make recommendationsfor business and process improvements, manage expectations andenhance valueManage a group of staff and seniors on compliance engagements to ensuredevelopmental skillsAssist with managing client engagement staffing,billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
