About Staff Software Engineer, Cloud HPC, Machine Learning Networking

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

  5 years of experience building and developing wide-reaching infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  Experience with C++, device drivers, Linux Kernel, and Remote Direct Memory Access.

  Experience with Linux device drivers, networking stack, and OS tuning and packaging.

  Experience with HPC and ML communications, including MPI, collective communication libraries, libfabric, and socket programming.

We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

  With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $185,000-$283,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  Perform full stack optimization for HPC and ML performance on Google Cloud Platform's (GCP) infrastructure, including kernel optimization, userspace communication libraries (e.g., MPI library, libfabric, NCCL), and customer HPC and ML applications.

  Build up HPC and ML solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

  Set technical direction and priorities for a small number of engineers.
