Staff Accountant
The Acountant will be responsible for managing the monthly calculations of the liabilities related to our Revenue Sharing arrangements and various other accruals related to revenue. This role will work with other divisions within Comscore to ensure all accruals are accurate. The Accountant must be able to ensure effective controls are in place for these processes and address any noted issues. The Accountant will support the close by doing journal entries and work on special projects.
What You'll Do: Identify and account for contracts with Revenue Sharing arrangements including recording accruals related to revenue share payments and reconcile related accountsWork with key stakeholders within Comscore to ensure that all accounting is timely and accuratelyAssist in ensuring controls are properly documented for this division of ComscoreAssist in identifying and implementing improvements to the processPerform monthly financial and ad hoc analyses to ensure accurate accountingAssist the team with ad hoc projectsSupport the quarterly reviews and annual auditAssist with month end financial close assignments as neededAssist with information gathering for external and internal audit requestsPrepare monthly reconciliationsWhat You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree, with emphasis in accounting or financeMinimum 2 years of accounting experienceEffective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Excel with the ability to manager pivot tables and vlookupsExperience creating journal entries for accrual based accountingExperience with Salesforce and Workday Financials preferred but not required About Comscore
