  What we do:

  The Strategy Team is focused on creating deeper, innovative, and proactive long-term relationships with our largest global advertisers and agency partners. We sit within the Client Development and the Strategy team represents some of the most seasoned and expert members across the org. Strategy team members support brands, often at a global level, enabling the deepest understanding of our client's business needs. We take a consultative approach when designing long-term engagement plans that support client's most ambitious growth goals with bespoke integrations across media, data, and technology. We support business processes and work with our global counterparts focused on campaign management, solution architecture, and technical account management, product, insights, and sales to bolster business impact to executive stakeholders.

  The Trading Strategy discipline focuses on deepening and expanding our business with our most technical points of contact. Members of Trading Strategy relentlessly pursue technical endeavours, capitalising on surfacing insights to propel our clients' business growth. Leveraging a deep understanding of our clients and their marketing goals, Trading Strategy designs and implements global standards of excellence, improves measurement and optimisation capabilities, and ensures our clients surpass their business objectives.

  What you'll do:

  Work cross-functionally with teammates in Client Strategy, Client Development, and other commercial teams to create long-form, multi-year growth strategies that expand client's goals and objectives, while also balancing short-term revenue objectives.Be a student of your client's business, assessing opportunities, challenges, and growth strategies, and advising executive stakeholders on strategic integrations across data, technology, and business processes.Help unpack the complexity of AdTech and MarTech into simple terms and productive next steps for global brand development - using high-levels of storytelling to expedite understanding and consensus.Lead and create programmatic buying frameworks, optimisation strategies, and advanced measurement solutions, working with other industry solutions and partnerships, as needed.Develop trading best practices, including training collateral and internal resources; work in defining the future of the trading discipline for the company and larger ecosystem.Use creative and strategic problem-solving skills to find solutions that are mutually beneficial to TTD (The Trade Desk) and our clients, harnessing the power of the Open Internet.Possess innate understanding of the varied business models employed by clients and ability to capture the essence of a problem and drive to a profound solution across a global landscape.Promote a high degree of expertise across multiple verticals and advertisers with the ability to become trusted subject matter experts across key brands and supporting agencies.Develop and lead best practices for The Trade Desk platform and offer insights on how to improve advertising effectiveness through the platform's functionality.Combine data analysis, technical expertise, and client feedback to create optimisation strategies and provide solutions to meet client objectives in partnership with Trading and Client Services.Work closely with Product and other cross-functional technical teams to help define/prioritise features and enhancements to improve the platform and surrounding solutions.Help lead technical conversations that relate to contract development, ensuring The Trade Desk endeavours in the right projects to drive more value for our advertisers.Work closely with the client services team to develop and execute an onboarding plan that will make customers successful within The Trade Desk solutions.Help mentor and coach adjacent team members of the Client Services team, and other surrounding commercial teams.

  Who you are:

  A proven record of accomplishment within the AdTech ecosystem, with over 10+ years of experience, and significant passion for the business and enthusiasm for The Trade Desk.Mastery of project management with the ability to connect people, process, and technology across time zones and for delivery across diverse stakeholders.Highly self-motivated, with ability to be fully autonomous across global remit.Direct (hands on) experience working with DSPs (demand side platforms), Ad Exchanges, Data Aggregators, Ad Servers, Measurement Solutions, and other industry services.Experience managing significant advertising investments (25MM+) across a global market.Has current or historical experience in trafficking and optimizing in programmatic environments.Excel at building networks internally and externally. Can show considerable influence, power of persuasion, collaboration with executive client stakeholders and influencing and inspiring internal teams.Has a unique eye for articulating excellence - being able to elevate commercial insights to executive stakeholders and unpack logical next steps across teams and departments.Unafraid of acting decisively and making quality decisions based on excellent judicial skills.Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive teams, and industry groups.Execute in an intense and fast-paced environment.Experience pitching new business and holding teams accountable.Expert negotiation skills and ability to articulate the value of a highly convoluted ecosystem.Expertise and a POV on topics such as: MMM (Marketing Mix Modelling), attribution, data flow, analytics, identity resolution, Lifetime Value (LTV) and more.Demonstrated experience in Excel including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of data sets to tell profound stories with data as a foundational asset.Experience or exposure with relational databases, APIs, and scripting via SQL, Python, or similar Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Effective time management skills - ability to prioritise and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities at once. Quick learner - able to rapidly grasp modern technology and product change.
