Location/Division Specific Information
Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic guides. This Senior Shipping Assistant will work on site at our GMP Laboratory facility in Athlone as part of our Lab Support team to provide logistical support to the lab facility as it relates to the shipment and tracking of pharmaceutical related material to and from the site.
A day in the Life
Shipping samples in temperature-controlled shipping containers daily.Working with Project Managers across all departments regarding shipments out.Following pack out procedure's as per SOP.Scheduling shipments out.Coordinates with various couriers for different type of shipments ensuring all documentation is present, pro-forma etc.Processes in and outbound shipping issues, including communication with couriers to identify issues and solutions.Trade Compliance.Data entry.Documentation preparation, retention, and storageTrains new team members on proper procedures and makes recommendations to management regarding workflow and scheduling. Provides continuing guidance and knowledge to entry level employees.Other duties for this role would include Receiving, stock control, ordering and future PPI projects.Performs additional administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience
Leaving Certificate or 3rd level related course/certificateExperience within a regulated GMP environment is beneficialExperience within a manufacturing /process driven environment adhering to SOPs and procedures
