On top, Japan is the second biggest country contributing to the global THV business following the United States. We have a strong leadership position in Japan, but Aortic Stenosis (AS) is underdiagnosed and untreated thus we see high potential to grow the market to treat more Japanese patients.
Under close teamwork with Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Sales, Field Strategy, Field Training, Corporate Communications, other BUs, global team and local agencies, this role is responsible for expanding THV market by establishing the patient pathway for Heart Valve Disease (HVD) especially Aortic Stenosis (AS) in Japan through the development and execution of comprehensive market development strategy and programs addressing challenges of target audience; the elderly, patient, caregiver and referring physician.
Key Responsibilities:
Throughout the patient pathway, identify drop-off stages, barriers, and triggers for each stage by target audience via market research and collecting insights from the field and referring physiciansLead developing strategy and programs for Disease Awareness and Therapy Development maximizing their synergy with well-conceived objectives, messages, target segmentation, marketing mix and budget allocationLead developing marketing tools and deliver via effective communication and trainings to the field in collaboration with Field Strategy and Field TrainingEvaluate the effectiveness of programs and behavior changes of target audience through KPIs and market research with solid analyticsEstablish the methodology to evaluate ROI (business impact) for market development programsBuild relationship with KOLs through marketing tactics and direct communicationHave a partnership with global team through international projects and meetingsSupervise associates in the team on their daily activities and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and help them on the individual development
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degreeLevel of language: Japanese at native level, and English at business level in both written and verbal communications5+ years of marketing experience with solid business acumen in the international company of Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Industry3+ years of people management experience in marketing organization
