Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer - Valve Systems Responsibilities:
Works closely with existing clients on new valve system designs and concepts, prototyping, testing and documentation to meet customer needs. Industry: Mil-spec & aerospace. Solenoid valve systems
Designs prototype models to validate concepts
Generates supporting engineering calculations
Validates design with team members and approve design changes.
Report progress and unusual project occurrences to the Engineering Manager. Works closely & frequently with other Engineers and/or Jr. Engineers or Interns
Confer, work closely and obtain the necessary results with manufacturing, quality assurance, production, vendors and contractors regarding the various aspects of product design projects.
Work with engineering support groups to check final designs and modify designs as appropriate.
Visit customer sites and contractors to validate product design specifications and to resolve product problems.
Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer - Valve Systems Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited US college or university in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similarly related engineering degree.
We are seeking at least 10 years of prior engineering design experience with a proven track record from the aerospace and or military/DOD sector is preferred.
Ability to prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software and support design with calculations using MathCAD software.
Strong understanding of geometric tolerance techniques based on ANSI Y14.5M-1994
Fluid handling device engineering (valves, pumps etc.) a plus.
Must be US Citizen (regulated industry), valid driver's license and the ability for some domestic travel
