The Opportunity
This position works out of our Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
We are seeking a high caliber Sr. Engineer, Product Stewardship providing effective and efficient project management and execution of associated tasks of company's portfolio of products. Engage with key personnel to restructure customer processes to better facilitate patient care through use of the company's products. This professional will be working with little or no supervision, applies project management knowledge, engineering knowledge and ingenuity to complete small to medium size projects from concept thru project closure within or across disciplines.
What You’ll Work On
Coordinate and execute all phases of highly-complex, multiple party implementations
Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately
Build relationships with key stakeholders within accounts.
Develop and execute implementation strategies.
Develops, plans, coordinates and directs engineering aspects of projects of major scope and importance.
Manages multiple, often concurrent projects and meets expectations.
Understands the business needs and has a thorough knowledge of the customer when developing a project scope. Incorporates business foresight of emerging technological trends.
Leads development of Project Charter (as needed) and documents the initial requirements that satisfy the stakeholder’s needs and expectations.
Establishes engineering project objectives and technical criteria for evaluating project results and activities of the project team.
Uses established PM tools and techniques (FEP, Cash Flow Projections, Scope / Schedule Control, etc.) to stay within authorized budget limits and achieve the overall project and organizational objectives.
Develops project plan documenting the actions necessary to define, prepare, integrate and coordinate all subsidiary plans. Directs and manages Project Execution by performing the work defined in the project plan to achieve project objectives.
Closes the project by finalizing all activities across all the Project Management Process Groups to formally complete the project or phase.
Manages or Directs efforts of internal and external resources. Monitors and controls project work to meet the performance objectives defined in the project plan.
Focuses on cost and milestone achievement to optimize resource utilization.
Reviews change requests, manages and approves changes to the deliverables, organizational process assets, project documents, and the project plan.
Monitors and controls project work to meet the performance objectives defined in the project plan. Effectively manages services and suppliers.
Implements common project management tools and methodologies. Contributes to the development of project management best practices.
Identifies areas of risk and mitigates risks through early risk assessments and implementation of fallback / mitigation strategies.
Utilize available resources effectively. lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams.
Mentor / train staff.
Serve as lead Implementation Project Manager and peer leader within the commercial organization.
Understand and comply with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Medical Technology, or a related field of study;
Associate's degree is acceptable with additional experience and demonstrated competence
Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry (of the 3-5 years experience 3+ years should be in project management) to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.

The base pay for this position is $83,600.00 – $167,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
