Accountabilities
Reporting to the Associate Director - Incentive Compensation (IC), the main function of the Sr. Analyst Incentive Compensation Modeling and Programming is to create modeling analytics and IC programming for sales incentives for the various sales teams across the US Region applying the BD Incentive Compensation System(s) (ICS).Provide modeling support for annual and ad-hoc incentive compensation planning, including supporting analytics, in order to make recommendations for incentive compensation design to the business units.This position will include programming Incentive Compensation Plans in our current IC system, which is Xactly Incent. This includes recommendations for system enhancements based on strategic objectives and changing business needs.This position will work closely with the Business Sales Leaders, Cross-functional Business Partners, Outside Channel Partners and Field Sales and will serve as a motivation to drive best in class, innovative, enterprise sales operations and incentive sales compensation capabilities through utilization of the Sales Performance Management (SPM) platform.
Crucial Responsibilities
Modeling support for at least two business units, including in-depth analytics to form insightful conclusions, incorporating complex concepts to launch assumptions and recommendations to the business unitsBuild and maintain annual compensation plan models within the Incentive Compensation System (ICS).Program Xactly Incent with Incentive Compensation rules in accordance with the plans in effect.Answer and resolve commission questions and issues from their assigned Sales teamUpdate ICS with actual sales results, individual quotas, employee information, and compensation plan informationValidating sales data for accuracy and consistency within the compensation program guidelines, as defined in the annual planning process and the Comp Plan T&CsBe responsible for the distribution of individual Sales Incentive Plans (SIP) and collection of the plan agreementsFind opportunities to simplify and standardize programs and processesProvide timely research and superior customer service related to sales compensation disputes initiated by the various levels of the selling organizationAs needed, be responsible for the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and training for the ICSFunction as a key contact for other IC Analysts for questions concerning configuration, implementation, maintenance, and training for the ICSParticipate as asked in the sales incentive design, quota building and modeling process for the assigned business lines partnering closely with the Manager, Incentive Compensation the business, Finance, Legal, and the HR Business PartnersCreate compensation and performance analytics by synthesizing information from needed sources for varied business leaders applying the ICSDevelop depth and breadth of experience in own job family and integrate knowledge of business and functional prioritiesApply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address sophisticated problems and non-standard situationsMay lead teams or projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 year experience in Incentive Compensation, Sales Operations or Analytics functions required.3-5 years experience in FP&A, commissions, accounting, or sales operations preferredExperience with incentive compensation tools such as Xactly Incent, SPIFF, Forma, Captivate or comparable ICS program is desiredIn-depth knowledge of SQLLevel 3 Xactly Incent certification a plusLevel 4 Xactly Analytics certification a plusStrong attention to detail.
