Job Summary
The role of Change Management Specialist is to plan, developand execute change management activities for CN's Transportation & NetworkOperations organization supporting various I&T projects.
The ideal candidate will workclosely with various Business Functions and I&T Stakeholders to ensure thatpeople, process, and technology changes are prioritized, Change Management bestpractices are applied, and CN's training & communication guidelines arefollowed to ensure adoption of the new ways of working.
The Change Management Specialist will report to the PMO/Portfoliomanager and will play a key role in keeping all the stakeholder groups engagedthroughout the various releases of different programs.
Main Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement andChange Preparation
• Engagestakeholders at all levels of the organization (Executive, I&T, end userswithin management and unionized groups)
• Identify impactedstakeholders and conduct impact assessments
• Contribute to thecontinuous refinement of the adoption strategy and plan, in line withidentified adoption risks
• Create riskmitigation tactics to minimize resistance
• Manage changenetwork groups (Change Champions and Super Users)
• Liaise with otherkey groups at CN and externally (Support, business units and differentfunctions such as Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, etc.)
• Proactivelyidentify people risks to enable successful change adoption and workcollaboratively to develop and implement mitigation tactics
Training & PerformanceSupport
• Collaborate withLearning and Development Specialist to conduct training needs assessment
• Support in thedevelopment of relevant training material for impacted stakeholders (job aids,presentations, system simulations, etc.)
• Conduct trainingsessions and gather participants' feedback on training opportunities
• Ensure all thecommunication & engagement activities align with the training strategy
Communications
• Supportleadership engagement activities
• Develop strategiccommunication plans to support client groups
• Draftcommunications and oversee review cycles and approvals
• Ensure thecommunication plan is up to date
• Distributecommunications to internal audiences
Adoption
• Work with programteams and change network to regularly assess stakeholder readiness, measureadoption and propose mitigation plans when necessary
• Based onreadiness and adoption results, propose change management mitigation tacticsthat would support the program objectives
Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 5 years experienceleading change management activities within a complex program/project
• Familiar withproject management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
• Ability to build,manage and facilitate the execution of change management plans to support thepeople side of business transformations.
• Experience inimplementing people, process, and technology changes across the organization,working in partnership with business functions and leadership.
• Strong analyticand decision-making abilities
• Proven ability topartner cross functionally and lead/collaborate through influence
• Capacity tosummarize complex data and visualize it in easy-to-understand formats
• Experienceworking in a unionized environment.

Education/Certification/Designation
• Bachelor's Degreein Organizational Behaviour, Management, Human Resources (HR) or similar field
• Change ManagementCertification (PROSCI)
