  Your New Role...

  CNN is seeking a Specialist to join the Brand Activations and Events team in New York. This role will be a key member of the department, providing critical day-to-day support in executing all external and internal event marketing initiatives for CNN's linear and digital properties. The role requires extensive organizational skills, a passion for the media, the ability to manage multiple projects at once, creativity, independent thinking, personal initiative and a passion for innovation and industry trends.

  Candidates need to have a healthy interest in the news, digital media and the journalism industry, an adaptability to adjust to a fast-paced cycle, along with familiarity with CNN's networks and platforms.

  Your Role Accountabilities...

  Provide day-to-day support to the Brand Activations and Events team producing around 100 events and programs per year. This role will assist with all pre, post and onsite logistics for both in-person and virtual events. Reports to Manager of Brand Activations and Events.

  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Handle day-to-day administration of events and programs including but not limited to invite distribution, guest list management and RSVP tracking, issue resolution, order placements, and travel planning.Execute all NY based internal employee engagement programs.Help manage project budgets and oversee vendor invoicing.Coordinate and maintain inventory of event assets and premiums.Oversee yearly events calendars and milestone talent relations program.Lead NY-based VIP tour program in coordination with PR department.Build and maintain relationships with vendors, venues, and agencies.Develop a deep knowledge of industry and trends.Generate innovative ideas to participate in brainstorming sessions.Travel to provide onsite event support when necessary (30% of time)

  Qualifications & Experience...

  1-3 years of experience as event coordinator or similar role.Proven track record of creative successful events.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Strong initiative, self-motivated and problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments and all levels of the organization.4 Four-year college degree preferred.

  In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $59,638.00 - $110,756.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
