Job Description
The SOX Program Office (SPO) is responsible for ensuring Intel's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and as such oversees governance for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). We set Intel's policy on SOX compliance, provide guidance and methodology, define the cadence and extent of controls testing, and oversee reporting to executive management.
The SPO Manager role is a leadership role that is highly visible to senior management and entails regular interaction with Internal Audit as well as our external auditors in addition to business partners across Intel. It provides a cross-Intel view and the opportunity to learn closely about a variety of accounting/finance and business functions across Intel. Additionally, given Intel's currently ongoing transformation journey, this role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to shape the controls framework in support of the IDM2.0 strategy.
This role is for a person who has a passion and aptitude for internal controls, and business process transformation and is effective at partnering with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities include but are not be limited to:
Gain a thorough understanding of Intel's business processes - fully understand material risks in the processes and the intricacies of the SOX controls that mitigate those risks.Oversee the SOX Program - from our guidance and methodology, to the testing of controls and evaluation of control deficiencies.Monitor SOX Program activities and progress - use creativity to drive accountability.Drive process and control changes - influence process owners to make changes in order to gain efficiencies and improve the control environment.Continuously monitor changes in the external and internal environment (regulations, policies, systems and processes) to ensure that internal controls adapt to the changes. Manage the SOX effort to implement control changes to enable success of IDM2.0 Acceleration while ensuring complianceBuild strong relationships with SOX Cycle Leads, area Controllers and VPs, Internal Auditors and External Auditors - establish yourself as a trusted advisor and SOX expert.Upskill our workforce - through continuous learning, annual SOX training, and communication of regulatory changes and technological advancements.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum qualifications:
CPA or equivalent.At least 5 years of combined work experience in the following areas:Experience with SOX. Knowledge of internal control principles (e.g. COSO), financial statement assertions, financial and operational processes, risks, and IT general controls.Current knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting.
Prefer qualifications:
Experience from Big 4 firms is a plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $122,901.00-$184,419.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
