Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Sourcing Leader – Global Air & Ocean develops and executes the sourcing strategy to secure GEHC’s air & ocean freight rates.
The successful candidate will manage a global supplier base, execute competitive bids, manage amendments, improve rate management tools & processes, and enhance services.
They will contribute to cost productivity and cash improvement goals through securing competitive rates and collaborating with logistics stakeholders.
The Sourcing Leader – Global Air & Ocean will report directly to Global Category Manager – Logistics.
Location preference is commuting distance to GEHC facilities in the Waukesha, Wisconsin area.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sourcing strategy, processes, and policies for the global air & ocean category.
Lead supplier contract negotiations, execute competitive bids, manage amendments, and manage rate data processes.
Use data analytics and market intelligence to support strategy and tactics.
Collaborate with the global logistics organization and other business stakeholders to identify short and long term-opportunities, meet ad hoc needs, as well as respond to changing business logistics requirements.
Engage with logistics teams globally and to align on the sourcing strategy & tactics that will generate cost-out and cash improvements.
Manage supplier relationships creating opportunities for improved cost and quality of goods & services.
Comply with GEHC Purchasing Controls, Quality Manual, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to their Category.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience).
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets development and analysis.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of time.
Fluent in English.

Strong knowledge and experience in logistics.
Strong knowledge in Transportation Management Systems, Freight Payment processes, and data management.
Ability to motivate and lead teams remotely.
