What we are seeking: Maxar is seeking aSolution Architect Director to joinMaxar's International Government (IG) Solutions Team. The idealcandidate is a highly motivatedindividual with a proven track record of beinga technical leader and SME, innovative thinker, and value generator.

The Role: As a Solutions Architect Director, your job is to drive and leadtechnical sales engagements for our most demanding customers, matchingmission requirements with Maxar capabilities and driving successful launch ofnew solution offerings across disparate international customers. You will beexpected to:
Think Strategically:Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and new governmentand national security customers gaining recognition as a trusted and respectedrepresentative of MaxarGuide the positioning and articulation of our key value propositions totargeted, high value customersMentor, coach, and advise technical sales professionals and leaders withinthe regions on technical aspects and go to market strategies fornew Defenseand Intelligence related solutions.Partner with regional sales and sales engineering teams to identify solutionsfor targeted clients
Act Tactically:Direct responsibility forIGsolution technical sales. This includes coachingregional sales and sales engineer teams in technical pre-sales aspects ofthegovernment industryTake a "hands-on" approach when called for on top innovation projects,coaching sales, technical teams and business unit execs in technical andsolution strategiesHelp in driving the design/development of custom products/solutionsLead Co-development of proposals to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.Rigorous technical and solutions qualification of innovation projectsand salesopportunitiesfocusing resources on those opportunities/projectswhichdifferentiate in the marketplace.Interact directly with customers and their technical experts to review,understand, and gather requirements and convey those technical requirementsto Maxar internal teamsArticulate and clearly communicate with multiple Maxar stakeholders andleaders with consistency and integrity.Deliver customer demonstrations on selected solutions
Understand Our Customers:Leverage your government industry and mission domain knowledge when workingwith cross-divisional teams to grow business and increase market shar forMaxar Intelligence.Identify key technical stakeholders and their drivers within an organization.Use consultative selling skills to understand operational, mission andbusiness challenges of customers.
Required Qualifications:Active US / UK Government security clearanceBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, AerospaceEngineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, ChemicalEngineering, Civil Engineering, Math)International defense customer experience10+ years of previous experience in technical/solution salesintheNational/ Ministry-level space intelligence,earthobservationindustry, geospatial or similar defense and intelligencework.10+ years of matrixed sales experience, interfacing with internalstakeholders in professional services, products, and operations.Experience in translating / distilling complex customer requirements andconcepts of operations into creative winning solutions and proposalsComfort and experience presenting technical solutions (products andservices) to senior government and industry decision makersResults-oriented team player with a demonstrated high level of integrity.Works well in a dynamic environment where some of the parameters are unknownandchangeisa given.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to travel domestically or internationally averaging about 25% withpotential peaks up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in an Engineering or related Discipline
