About the Role

　　Become a member of the team creating technology solutions to support groundbreaking therapies treating patients. Novartis is currently searching for a Commercial IT Solution Architect to join the IT organization with a focus on Architecture and Integration for Advanced Therapies.

　　In this role you will define the architecture for solutions in this area using existing enterprise architecture standards and patterns. You will guide the design of project/product solution architecture that adequately responds to a given business/technical problems and ensure the right IT investments are made from an architecture perspective in the Commercial Domain. You will collaborate with other Architects and support various Commercial initiatives and will contribute findings and best practices to other domain architects in IT.

　　Your responsibilities will include:

　　• Developing architectural solutions for a complex business area or delivering architectural services and governance activities.

　　• Elaborating the solution architecture for a specific solution based on architecture-significant requirements and company-wide architecture standards.

　　• Applying architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design.

　　• Maintaining and evolving Architecture tools and platforms, principles, policies, and standards. Taking accountability to ensure alignment with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within solution architecture for Commercial domain scope.

　　• Finding opportunities to improve the end-to-end process for architecture design

　　• Validating solution architectures regarding their adequacy and consistency to architecture standards throughout the solution lifecycle.

　　• Communicating and explaining selected aspects of the Commercial architecture to appropriate collaborator groups.

　　Role Requirements

　　What you will bring to the role:

　　• Degree in IT, computer science or equivalent experience, English and other language skills.

　　• 5+ years demonstrated ability performing architecture design, end to end solution delivery, implementing IT process improvements.

　　• Ability to solve complex business process / information challenges.

　　• Experience in relevant technology (e.g. Salesforce, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and ecommerce applications) within commercial domain architecture design

　　• Experience in working in projects that are using Agile and DevOps standard processes.

　　• Experience of working effectively with multiple collaborators and complex projects in a matrix organization to deliver results with quality and on time within budget.

　　• Proven track record in developing trust-based relationships with key regional stakeholders.

　　• Effective communications style with the ability to influence local and global teams.
