Software Development Operational Excellence Internship
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role are to:Collaborate with Software Engineers to capture and develop written computer-based requirements (system, software, etc.) for medical device software development programs/products, including;Application software,Embedded software,Platform software, Operating system softwareCollaborate with Marketing, Product Owners, System Engineers, and other stakeholders to elicit customer needsTransform software lifecycle concepts and needs definitions into Design Input requirementsPerform analysis and development of software design input requirements, including:User interface and interactionsPerformance and reliabilitySafety and interoperabilityStakeholder needsParticipate in Design Review of software design input requirementsAssist with activities to comply with the project deliverables outlined in the Design and Development Plans and Design Control Procedures, as applicable.Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures for medical device development, including compliance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304Perform critical analysis of technical situations, identifies problems, and work with the cross-functional team in resolving the problems.Collaborate within cross-functional teams to convey problems, opportunities, solutions, and results in medical device R&D activitiesEngage in continuous improvement initiatives to establish the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Software Assurance functionWHO YOU AREYour success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalentAbility to troubleshoot and make quick knowledge and experience- guided decisionsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent people skills, ability to partner well, good team camaraderieClear and concise writing easily understood by multiple audiences (testers, auditors, peers, etc.)Ability to work in-office 60% of the timePrior internship experience in Software Development and Testing in a regulated industry verifying and integrating software for complex projectsPrior internship experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle process using Waterfall and Agile methodologyPrior internship experience in technical writing abilityKnowledge of medical device regulatory processes
