The environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to work autonomously and to manage to aggressive delivery schedules. Suitable candidates should have a strong background in Computer Science, excellent problem solving skills and passion to improve existing processes and tools. The right mix of technical, organizational, and communication skills is key to success. Attention to detail and a proven ability to manage priorities are essential. Specific responsibilities will include: - Help architect and implement new frameworks and daemons to power new functionality for an upcoming hardware product - Develop software that works in safety-critical environments, and build robust test and verification pipelines to ensure reliability and resiliency - Understand product requirements, engage with team members to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required - Working cross-functionally with teams across Engineering to add support for new software features - Troubleshooting and resolving complex software integration issues If you join our team, you'll design, develop, debug, and support location software with a focus on multi-sensor radionavigation technology. You'll collaborate to qualify performance and support commercialization for hundreds of millions of users on multiple hardware families. You'll design and implement data structures, threading models, business logic, and system architectures in support of location services. You'll also optimize performance, robustness, and scalability of new and existing services.

Familiarity with basics of RF location estimation Familiarity in GPS/GNSS/radionavigation theory and technology Familiarity in GNSS 3GPP and carrier RF requirements and implications to device and test equipment architectures, and performance tradeoffs Familiarity in device certification processes on at least one of industry certification and Carrier conformance Experience with Objective-C/Swift programming

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
