AWS App Runner team is looking for experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help develop the service.
The team is building next generation of the infrastructure service that helps customers build and deploy web applications automatically, scales to meet your traffic needs, load balances traffic, supports end-to-end encryption, and allows communicate with other AWS applications. We are looking to transform App Runner from the infrastructure-centric to developer-centric platform, making it easier for customers to bring in their source code and run them as containers.

Key job responsibilities
Design and Development: Take ownership of designing, developing, testing, and deploying services that facilitate a seamless "build from source" experience.
Integration Expertise: Collaborate with diverse source code providers such as Github, Bitbucket, and CodeCommit to create robust integrations. Build and deliver managed runtimes for various languages including Node.js, Python, Java, etc.
Open Source Leadership: Lead and contribute to various open source initiatives, with a focus on projects like AWS Managed buildpacks. Engage with the developer community to drive innovation and best practices.
Scalability: Work on ensuring that the services can scale efficiently, catering to the high-load demands characteristic.
Collaboration: Engage with a talented and diverse team to collectively architect and implement cutting-edge products. Embrace different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
