This position is engineer role in ServiceNow ITOM team. The individual in this role will support design, execution, and maintenance of our ServiceNow ITOM module. Liaising with technology teams, process owners and counterparts to define, execute and manage application sustainment, enhancement, and/or new development.
Reporting to the Lead IT Director, System Engineering, this position is critical in supporting the development and implementation of the overall ServiceNow ITOM. This role will also have cross functional collaboration with other areas of ServiceNow Platform, including but not limited to being the first point of contact for defect management, and new enhancements development.
Job Responsibilities
Strong ITOM/CMDB development background in design, development, documentation, testing, and modification of existing and new ITOM & CMDB capabilities, discovery patterns and sensors, championing standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Participate in architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy versus build decisions
Daily interaction with ServiceNow and ITOM configuration management database (CMDB) services in an enterprise product environment
Provide architectural controls for discovery, CMDB, service mapping and event management
Work directly with the ServiceNow development team to select the most effective solution for defined requirements
Helps maintain the governance, polices, and direction of the CMDB
Assists in leading the CMDB discovery, CI relationship vision and roadmap
Responsible for maintaining Discovery application tool within ServiceNow
Identify improvements with internal consumers of data whose processes interact with the CMDB
Comfortable with Javascript and ServiceNow Javascript API's
Write/create custom business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, ACL’s, data policies, UI scripts
Align with platform architects and IT Security experts to ensure ServiceNow ITOM meets all relevant compliance and security standards
Drive continual ITOM improvement and CMDB adoption aligned to CSDM across ServiceNow
Ensuring the technical aspects of future releases or upgrade implementations are in line with security, best practices, and meet the expectations of our business.
Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of hands on experience in delivering ITOM tools and processes, including configuration management in a central CMDB, Discovery, Event Management & Service Mapping
Hands on experience with Discovery probes, sensors and patterns, Service Mapping configurations and Event management rules for correlation of events and alerts coming from monitoring tools.
Experience designing and developing integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems (Akamai, CSC), cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP APIs), including use of ServiceNow's Integration Hub, and/or custom APIs
Experience in UI Scripting, UI Action UI Policy, UI Macro, Business Rules, Workflow development, client-side/server-side scripts,
Infrastructure configuration experience across on-premises datacenters, cloud, network, and IT security tools
Strong knowledge and ability of Server Administration across OS platforms, including the understanding of described domain structures, user permission levels, group policy objects and the execution of SUDO policies
Experience in application architecture, infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking, and distributed systems
Domain Separation and designing the Process and data flow within various domains
Design and modify ServiceNow forms, workflows, scripts, transform maps, service maps, web services, inbound email actions, SLAs and more
Experience with improving Discovery performance and coverage and building effective dashboards for senior leaders, service owners and executives to show accurate and up to date results of our CMDB health
Deep knowledge of which of Business Service, Business Application, and Application Service to be applied to a given use case
Ability to analyze existing CIs, their relationships with other CIs, and effectively map them for the success of ITSM processes like Incident, Change, and Problem, Application Portfolio, and Security Vulnerability management
Hands-on MID-server configuration experience and architecture understanding
Understanding of ServiceNow CSDM 3.0/4.0 Model
Experience working in a SAFe/Agile team
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic delivery environment with versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$97,335.00 - $201,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
