Reporting into the leader of the Workforce360 team within Optum Enterprise Shared Services, this role will be a key contributor in the workforce planning and management team engaging in exciting new client onboarding work to implement our best-in-class support models. The Sr. Workforce Planning Analyst/Lead will interact with other highly experienced workforce professionals to work across Optum's various businesses to engage with operational leaders to implement workforce support and collaborate to transition to steady state workforce management teams. Along the way the analyst will encounter new operational models across Optum's clinical, Rx, banking, care, revenue cycle, and many other businesses making for an exciting and ever-changing project list.

Primary Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Workforce Planning Analyst/Lead on the Workforce360 (W360) team, you will be responsible for providing expert workforce management consultation by: Identifying solutions that maximize business productivity/efficiency Recommending best practices to operational leaders and collaborating on best-fit solutions amongst your peers and leaders Developing call/queue/back-office modeling Implementing standard enterprise solutions, such as scheduling, real-time monitoring, intra-day planning, short- and long-range forecasting and capacity planning, desktop analysis (DAA) and other tracking solutions Establishing baseline metrics on productivity from which to measure savings and efficiency gains Support positive WFM relationships with key leaders, evangelizing the benefits of leveraging an internal shared services workforce management expertise function As the front-door to Optum workforce planning and management (WFP+M) support, you would be part of a team that welcomes new operations or customers and introduces them to a centralized workforce operating model, lead projects to implement and operationalize workforce solutions, and handoff solutions to workforce management steady state teams for ongoing maintenance and support
This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational information and models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story.

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or 4 years equivalent experience 3+ years of workforce management or workforce planning experience 1+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in consulting role Experience managing complex end-to-end projects, preferably as a project leader Ability to influence and make recommendations to peer level staff and senior leaders Solid verbal and written communication skills Solid knowledge of WFM principles
