The UK Chief Executive is a key appointment for the Leidos Commercial & International Sector, executing on the sector's ambitions in the UK, continuing to create significant growth in the region and ensuring alignment with the sector's strategy. With current revenue in excess of £400m, our aim and commitment is to expand the UK business through new awards and organic growth.
The successful candidate will require significant business experience gained in a similar or related industry at Chief Executive or comparable leadership level, with a demonstrated track record of success and delivery against ambitious growth targets. A magnetic and inspirational leader, the selected candidate will be used to operating within a US centric environment with responsibility for a complex local P&L.
A strategic thinker with UK contacts at the most senior commercial and Government level and an impressive track record of significant contract wins, the successful candidate will display the drive and ambition to win, deliver and grow.
The role will report directly to the President, Commercial & International Sector.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accountability for Profit and Cash performance consistent with the Leidos Annual Operating Plan across the UK.Accelerate growth through new wins, collaboration, and strategic partnership.Accountable for the generation and closing of significant opportunities.Drive an integrated strategy and flawless execution of UK portfolio.Broaden customer relationships, develop strategic partnerships and invest in emerging technology.Address financial challenges to improve competitiveness, efficiency and margin.Increase UK capability and leverage skills and capability from the US ensuring transfer knowledge and best practice.Coordinate with business development to support strategic direction.
Key Criteria:
Extensive experience within a similar leadership role, driving growth for a UK business, with exposure to the UK public sector (Civil Government and Ministry of Defence).Experience in delivering large, complex technology programmes (preferably software development, systems integration).Successful management of profit and loss and a strong operational pedigree, with in-depth understanding of key financial levers and drivers.Adept at performance management, skilled at coaching and developing others.Capable of working in a complex international environment, with the ability to build trusted relationships.Relevant degree or equivalent (higher degree or MBA advantageous).Current security clearance (SC) or ability to acquire.
