Position Description:
Designs and architects Cloud native software applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies - IAM, VPC, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation. Performs version control and Continuous Integration using Jenkins, Stash, and uDeploy. Builds, coordinates, and deploys containerized applications using configuration management and infrastructure management systems - Docker, CloudFormation, and EKS. Coordinates relational databases using standardized programming languages (SQL and NoSQL). Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Cloud infrastructure, resiliency, governance, and production support services in a financial services organization.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Cloud infrastructure, resiliency, governance, and production support services in a financial services organization.

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and implementing enterprise Cloud infrastructure, governance, and compliance using AWS services - Lambda, CloudFormation, KMS, and Azure Services, with infrastructure as code Ansible and Terraform; and designing and implementing automation processes (audit and alert) using PowerShell and Python.DE architecting and engineering enterprise level, Cloud-based solutions in AWS, Azure, Jenkins, and Terraform; deploying and coordinating microservices across Multi-Cloud platforms, using Docker, light-weight containers, and Kubernetes; and creating Cloud migration strategies using industry patterns - Twelve-Factor App, 6R's, and Gartner recommendations; and providing on-call assistance, Cloud best practice advice, and solutions to customers.DE integrating build and deployment processes according to Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD), using Jenkins and GitLab; and supporting the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment - using Git/Stash, Artifactory, PowerShell, Jenkins, and Terraform according to Agile methodologies.DE participating in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - providing architecture and implementation guidance, recommending process optimization, identifying areas for improvement (testing enhancements using Test-Driven Development (TDD), and conducting software and tool evaluations; performing end-to-end system troubleshooting (using Splunk, Datadog, Kibana, and Static-Analysis/Sonar); and problem solving across platforms and application domains in DevOps integrated environments (using Git-Flow, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes).
