Team Summary

　　We are seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Database Reliability Engineering team based in Hyderabad. This dynamic team collaborates with various technology groups to devise and implement highly scalable, available data-driven applications that handle terabytes of data.

　　What You'll Do

　　Oversee multiple cloud-based PostgreSQL RDS/Aurora clusters. Conduct capacity planning and system-level architecture aligned with anticipated business volumes and infrastructure capacity. Proactively identify areas for optimization. Possess a thorough understanding of permissions and implement database security best practices. Contribute to process improvements in the context of database environments. Investigate, address, and document root cause analyses for production issues. Implement new monitoring tools for PostgreSQL in AWS. Deploy High Availability tools for PostgreSQL in AWS EC2/Linux. What You'll Need

　　Minimum of 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database design and administration. Strong grasp of database concepts, troubleshooting skills, and root cause analysis. Operational support skills for PostgreSQL databases. Proficiency in database maintenance tools, procedures and being familiar with the latest PostgreSQL releases. Experience in upgrading RDS with minimal downtime. Automation skills in one or more scripting languages (Shell/Python). Familiarity with query tuning and rewriting. Expertise in heterogeneous database migrations into PostgreSQL on AWS/On-Prem. Proficiency in PostgreSQL monitoring tools. Experience with AWS or any other public cloud and demonstrated cost optimization skills. Flexibility to work in a rotational shift model.
