About the Position
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking anorganized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve asHealth Policy Administrator. Under administrative direction, thisposition will plan, develop, organize, and manage the statewide programof health services. The position will develop and implement policies andprocedures applicable to comprehensive health care, including dental andvision needs and services for DCFS youth in care. The position will alsoserve as the Department\'s representative in interagency activities forthe improvement of health care systems and provision of services,including all health service-related interagency negotiations andagreements with other agencies. Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as Health Policy Administrator
2. Serves as full line supervisor
3. Serves as the Department\'s representative in interagency activitiesfor the improvement of health care systems and provision of services,including all health service-related lnter-agency negotiations andagreements with other agencies, such as OHS and DHFS
4. Works in collaboration with the Department\'s Medical Director toensure that Department rules, procedures, training, and qualityassurance programs are developed in a manner consistent with establishedprofessionally recognized standards of care
5. Develops and negotiates contracts for health services and healthcare consultant services
6. ?Provides research, analysis, and interpretation to seniormanagement and regional management in the design and tacticalapplication of community-based services to client services planning anddecision-making
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonablywithin the scope of the duties enumerated above.
