  Role

  Splunk is looking for committed Product Managers to drive the definition, development, and adoption of our core platform monitoring and management capabilities, and ensure end-to-end success in this market.

  You will use your understanding of the data platforms, scalability and high availability to synthesize ideas that improve Splunk's Enterprise and Cloud offerings. This role presents an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience in building end-to-end data platform cloud services contributing towards Splunk's industry-leading data platform and delivering high impact customer & business outcomes

  You will merge attention to technical detail with the ability to understand and align to business imperatives while working hand-in-glove with cross-functional execution teams to drive customer insights and inputs directly into the development process.

  Responsibilities

  As with any fast-growing company, day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product management lifecycle and include deep interaction with customers, sales, and engineering.

  Own the "whole" product experienceEngage with customers, develop insights into what is possible, and uncover unarticulated customer needs to drive customer successBuild compelling and high impact data platform capabilities, based on a deep understanding of customer needs & market trends, translating them into clear priorities and product roadmapDefine product specs, user stories, mockups, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering or independentlyInteract and collaborate with Support, NOC, and field teams, to understand customer issues and drive business outcomesCollaborate with Engineering, QA, SRE, and release teams to plan, drive and execute product release cycles.Collaborate with product marketing to support the creation of customer-driven messaging and contentRequirements

  3-5 years of experience in product managementExperience as a Product Manager with data platform, storage, databases or clustering technologiesTechnical background in data management, high availability, scalability monitoring and system performanceDeep understanding of data platform market, trends, competition and industryStrong sense of customer empathy to care deeply about customer problems and user experienceStrong analytical skills and data driven product decision-making mindsetCollaborative team player, with strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical products and features into simple concepts and presentationsDesired Skills:

  Experience with building large scale data management platforms or servicesDeep understanding of data platform market, trends and competitionPassion for solving challenging technical problems and building enterprise products with intuitive user experienceStrong bias for action, creative thinking, innovation and data driven product decision-makingExposure to cloud infrastructure and agile software developmentEducation:

  Bachelor's degree in a technical field required (e.g. EE, CS); MBA or similar degree highly preferredWhat We Offer You:

  Note:

  Base Pay Range

  SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

  Base Pay Range: $147,200.00 - 202,400.00 per year

  California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

  Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

  All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

  Base Pay Range: $124,000.00 - 170,500.00 per year

  Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
