ABOUT THE ROLE
Hearst UK is seeking an outstanding CMS and Apps Senior Product Manager to lead a local Product Design Engineering team, working with the Hearst Magazines International Product team in New York. This is a role for someone seeking an exciting career challenge, building and maintaining a world-class digital media platform, developing new apps, as well as working with external paywall and email service providers.
The Product Design Engineering team at Hearst UK is responsible for creating best-in-class digital experiences for world-renowned magazine brands including ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan. Men's Health and Runner's World. Ideal candidates will possess big-picture vision but with the drive and attention to detail required to make that vision a reality. The successful applicant will be working closely with design and engineering, along with our international partners, to maximise the experience of our millions of visitors to our brands' digital properties.
In this role you will be required to balance strategic thinking with outstanding execution, holding yourself and your team accountable for delivering excellent user experiences and promoting increased reader revenue. You must enjoy solving complex business problems at the core of the digital transformation of a world-leading media company. A creative mindset and the ability to formulate bold product strategies is essential. You will have the aptitude to identify automation opportunities, construct means to validate your ideas and clearly articulate concepts to your team and stakeholders alike.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the VP of Product, International to develop, communicate and execute the UK roadmap for CMS/Web and Apps initiatives of and related OKRs Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to build alignment around the goals of experience management, shape a product that exceeds expectations and shepherd it through execution and adoption Support an existing content management service, focusing on incremental updates that drive value for Hearst's brands and customers Effectively and responsibly represent the content management service across a diverse set of stakeholder groups including daily users, fellow product owners, external vendors, engineers and senior leadership. Identify and prioritise new features and bugs, help set the training and onboarding schedule for teams across the organisation, and work with international partners and stakeholders to gather input and communicate changes. Document, validate and prioritise product specifications within an Agile/SCRUM development environment.ABOUT YOU
5+ years of digital product management experience, with expertise in managing consumer-facing products or digital media properties. Passionate about digital media Experience building or customising content management tools. You have delivered features and products that simplify user experiences and streamline workflows Ability to understand trade-offs and how product decisions are made Strong attention to detail and comfortable with ambiguity and challenge. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, concurrently managing multiple initiatives, and always remain optimistic.WHAT WE OFFER
