Intel Chandler, Arizona Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) is part of Intel's Fab Sort Manufacturing (FSM) and is responsible for high volume production of Intel silicon using some of the world's most advanced manufacturing processes. As part of Intel's Integrated Device Manufacturer 2.0 (IDM2.0) Foundry Capability, Intel Arizona site is building F52/F62 fabs for latest technology nodes including Intel 18A and beyond. This exciting transformation at Intel needs amazing and talented candidates with process technology experience in foundry to service local and global customers.
This job requisition is to seek foundry experienced Equipment Engineers to join OTF to build a strong equipment engineering group to service foundry manufacturing. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills to influence internal stakeholder actions to drive semiconductor equipment development, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to achieve world class operational excellence. Equipment expertise in semiconductor equipment in areas such as photolithography and advanced patterning, etch, thin film deposition, planarization, defect metrology or other fab areas is required.
As a Sr. Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, your responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Demonstrate safety leadership being an Intel expert on fab/subfab equipment with experience in controlling hazardous energies and safety regulations. Lead design review, tool installation, hardware modification and upgrade of semiconductor equipment. Working effectively with the supplier field service engineers to identify shortcomings, propose and evaluate hardware modification to mitigate issues and develop maintenance procedures and training shift team. Improve equipment productivity, cost reduction, availability, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF)and equipment uptime by systematic Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and development. Deep dive into equipment related data analysis to troubleshoot tool matching and defect reduction. Apply statistical methods to establish and sustain a robust manufacturing process. Collaborate effectively with shift technicians, process engineering and suppliers to identify technology gaps and deficiencies: devise, evaluate and qualify mitigation and continuous improvement solutions.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Ph.D. Degree in a Science or Engineering field with 2+ years of semiconductor industry experience OR, Master's Degree in a Science or Engineering field with 4+ years of semiconductor industry experience OR, Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering field with 6+ years of semiconductor industry experience.Experience in wafer fabrication process engineering, manufacturing systems, semiconductor materials, equipment, and wafer test.
Preferred Qualifications:
Semiconductor foundry experience including wafer foundry equipment engineering in a process area such as Thin Films, Dry Etch, Litho, Planar, Wet Etch, Diffusion, and Metrology.Experience with leading high volume manufacturing operations with a new toolset or configuration, availability, productivity, tool matching, statistical analysis, and process development.Experience with application of eight disciplines (8D) model, submitting an internal or external 8D report, process control standards, E3 and SPC response strategy. Experience with internal and external industry standard audits practices and fully own compliance closure activities.Experience with inline metrology to detect all module defect/yield/matching issues to meet foundry customer wafer acceptance criteria.
