Department Overview
This position aligns with Data Insights and Analytics (DIA) team within the Wells Fargo Home Lending (WFHL) group under Consumer Lending (CL) LoB. The team extensively works on Data Quality and Governance for WFHL. WFHL Management provides sales, fulfillment, underwriting, operations, quality, compliance, servicing and support functions for the Wells Fargo Home Lending Business.
About the Role:
Selected candidate will work as Senior Lead Data management Analyst of Data Quality, Governance and Remediation team, would play the subject matter expert role in the team and ensure adherence to data management regulations and policies. The incumbent is expected to be the expert in data profiling, data quality and reporting and lead the team with technical and analytical thought leadership, guidance and value addition to the projects and play a pivotal role between India and US team. Candidate is expected to have good command over various Data Quality tools and technologies including Any DQ tool, Any ETL, Teradata, SQL, Python, Excel-VBA and MS PowerPoint. Sound business knowledge of Banking & consumer lending with specific understanding of home lending product lifecycle and servicing is preferred.
Responsibilities:Work with various US-based Home Lending business teams and end users of data to enhance our ability to provide data quality support.Work as with various application teams in understanding the data lineage and partner with them in implementing remediation solutions to address data anomalies.Design and lead complex projects, respond to business queries on the Data anomalies.Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency of the team by automating the routine steps.Interpret results and recommend solutions to optimize operational efficiency/quality and cost.Ensure adherence to compliance and controls set forth by firm-wide data management policies.Drive the requirements and design discussions to create an execution plan with deliverables and timeframe. Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that align to the enterprise.Guide team of individual contributors by reviewing their deliverables.Review data quality work from all critical aspects and help the team to stitch and fine tune their value stories and business recommendations/remediations. Required Qualifications:12+ years of relevant work experience in Data Quality Assurance. Data Engineering and Data Management projects with knowledge of business analysis and developing Data Quality solutions.7+ years of experience in Data Quality, Governance and Remediation. Engineering Graduate/ Post-graduate from a reputed institution.Understanding of home lending product lifecycle is key.Hands on experience of working with Teradata SQL, Python, any DQ tool and any ETL.Data Quality: Subject Matter Experience to perform statistical data analysis, build hypothesis, draw conclusions, and communicate clear, actionable recommendation to business leaders & partners.Automation: Expertise in scripting to develop automated solutions where possibleSimple work documentation skills. Requirements, query documentation, testing.Detail oriented. Accuracy is key.Consultative skills: have the ability to rationalize business need and solution design from people not knowing how to ask precisely for what they need.Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management.Desired Qualifications:Good to have certifications in Data Management, Data Engineering tools.Domain understanding of WFHL products and process lifecycle (Originations, Servicing, Default Operations, Risk) will be an added advantageStrong command using SQL and Python for data gathering and analysis.Prior experience of working on complex projects sourcing data from multiple sources using ETL and/or SQL.Strong understanding of business drivers and industry trends of lending products & home lending in specific.Ability to handle reporting needs to support Data Quality governance.Proven ability to be successfully deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to ensure analytic rigor for all work productsExpected to learn the business aspects quickly, multitask and prioritize between projects.Dedicated, enthusiastic, driven and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic and good team player.Posting End Date:
