Description
Our Geosciences team is an integrated geotechnical engineering, hydrogeological and environmental consultant to a wide range of clients working on infrastructure and developments, both for private and public entities across Australia. Due to exceptional success and continued growth in our Geosciences team, we have an opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Melbourne office.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Plan, coordinate and manage site investigations to deliver geotechnical investigative reports - including interpreting geotechnical data, performing analysis and making recommendations.
Undertaking geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations and retaining walls
Contribute to the delivery of projects, ensuring work outputs are of a high technical standard
Undertake interpretation and analysis of data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions
Managing key projects from start to finish in line with project specifications
To be successful for this role you'll need:
Tertiary qualifications in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives and/or major as part of your university studies
5 to 8 years’ practical experience, preferably with a geotechnical engineering consultancy
Chartered credentials or working towards
Experience in field geotechnical investigations including logging and supervision of geotechnical drilling activities
Previous experience with engineering software packages such as gINT, GEOSTUDIO, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE, AutoCAD would be of assistance
A demonstrated passion for working in the geotechnical engineering discipline
