The Role:
The Senior Financial Data Analyst performs a range of financial data, analytical and research services that contribute to the overall credit analysis function performed by the Corporate Finance or Infrastructure rating groups. Prospective candidates will have a good understanding of fundamental finance and financial statements as well as a basic understanding of capital markets. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational skills, demonstrate attention to detail as well as their ability to work effectively individually and in a collaborative team environment.
Being part of the Data & Analytics function provides a unique opportunity to foster skills that are valuable to any future career in the financial services industry. This will be an internally facing role, reporting into the team manager.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing financial statements and making necessary adjustments
Reviewing financial ratios to identify trends or significant changes
Working directly with analysts to discuss the data, adjustments and other information needed by the rating team for ratings and research
Process improvement: utilizing expertise to identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements, build consensus and implement the change
Lead projects to improve data quality and other internal processes
Liaising with rating analysts and knowledge managers in knowledge sharing and training sessions and with outsourcers and other colleagues providing training and feedback
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business administration preferred
Accounting background with strong focus in financial analysis (e.g., through coursework or relevant work experience) would be an advantage
Strong English language skills
French, German, Italian language (reading skills are especially important, strong writing and speaking skills are not required) is considered an advantage
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is considered as an advantage
Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills, with ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality, accurate work
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmen
Annual base salary gross: € 24,800 - 39,600. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
