The Senior CyberSecurity Engineer manages the lifecycle of information security tools, applications, and system solutions deployed in Humana. Oversees the implementation of various security maturity efforts across Humana within the network, endpoint, and infrastructure domains. The Senior CyberSecurity Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

The Senior CyberSecurity Engineer designs, oversees, and performs analysis of security procedures for the day-to-day management and operations of security tools and services. May design and implement protocols and solutions designed to safeguard sensitive data from external/internal breach or attacks and implement relevant engineering updates to Humana information technology and information security infrastructures. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Experience:

5+ years of experience in Cyber Security

Familiarity with vulnerability analysis, triaging and remediation

Preferred Experience:

At least 5 years experience working in a cybersecurity organization

Atleast 7 years experience working in an IT organization

Systems and Network engineering experience is preferred

Prior experience with Microsoft 365 Tools (Entra ID, Defender, Intune)

Security tools experience with Qualys, Tenable Nessus, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Cisco, Extrahop is a plus

Networking tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, TCP/IP, SIEM

Remote/WAH requirements:

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.

A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$104,800 - $144,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
