The Business Systems team drives efficiency and velocity across the organization through process optimizations, automations, and integrations to allow employees to focus on larger organizational initiatives. The team partners with internal systems teams, including Finance, People, Recruiting, Sales, and more to enhance critical systems and functions and allow for further customization of systems to align with the evolving business needs. 

　　As a Business Systems Engineer, you will work with teams across Datadog to improve their processes through system integrations and workflow automations. This is a unique role that combines project and stakeholder management with technical hands on work. In addition to using middleware and low/no-code solutions, you will partner with software engineers to deliver fully custom integrations and solutions.

　　What You’ll Do:  Learn how business systems currently function and how they are used within Datadog. Use this knowledge to identify technical gaps and areas for improvement Architect, build, and maintain system integrations and process automations Plan, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements; execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements Create and maintain internal documentation and processes Collaborate with the Security, Privacy & Compliance teams to ensure business systems adhere to Datadog security, privacy, and compliance standards (eg. GDPR, SOX) Who You Are: Ability to analyze business requirements, design and configure recommended solution, and communicate technical solutions to various audiences Excellent verbal and written communications skills Strong problem solving and technical skills  Prior experience making buy vs build decisions 5+ years administrating business systems (e.g., NetSuite, Zendesk, Salesforce or Workday) or in a similar role 4+ years leading medium to large sized cross-functional projects from requirements gathering to go-live across Finance, HR, and Sales 3+ years designing and building multi-system integrations using middleware (e.g., Workato, Boomi, Mulesoft, Zapier) In-depth knowledge of SQL and object-oriented programming paradigms (e.g., Python, Java) to efficiently manipulate large volumes of data Datadog values people from all walks of life. 　　The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $144,000 - $184,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
