Position Overview
Gerson Lehrman Group is seeking a Manager/Senior Associate to join the GLG Public Equity Client Solutions team in Hong Kong or Shanghai. The Manager/Senior Associate will help to drive the growth of GLG's business and work with clients to fulfil their primary research needs with a focus on TMT, particularly Hardware/ Software/ Auto/ Energy.
Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
The Manager/Senior Associate will work closely with the Greater China Public Team based in Greater China, to provide clients with thorough and timely project support and connect clients to the most relevant subject matter experts in the TMT industry.Be responsible for managing a book of TMT clients from top tier long-only funds and investment banks and drive their usage.Facilitate educational interactions between GLG Network Members and our clients, enable our clients to make more informed and confident investment decisions. The Manager/Senior Associate needs to analyze client requests, build and qualify primary populations of topic experts, and work with internal partners to develop customized interactions for clients. Most GLG client/expert interactions consist of telephone consultations, but also may consist of in-depth engagements, in-person interaction, survey and tour, etc.Play a leadership role in generating TMT industry content and programming live in-person and virtual events. The Manager/Senior Associate will organise and host small group conversations between GLG Network Members (particularly international senior KOL tech experts) and GLG clients on equity market hot topics and programme private meetings for GLG Network Member at client offices.Enhance the GLG expert network in the TMT space. Developing and managing relationships with GLG's most respected thought leaders in the TMT industry, as well as recruiting new senior executives and leading consultants into the GLG network through research, networking, and direct outreach.Team-wide collaboration. The Manager/Senior Associate is expected to work closely with our Sales and Business Development team, as well as other research professionals to develop customized products and expert services for GLG clients.

Bachelor's degree, or aboveExcellent communication skills and fluency in English and MandarinSolid expertise in any field of the TMT space (particularly, Hardware/ Software/ Auto/ New Energy)Some knowledge about the financial market, particularly the public equity marketAble to curate industry-focused content and host events for targeted buyside audience3-5 years of work experience in research role in investment institutions or consulting firmsSuccessful track record working in a team environment
