As a Platform Senior Associate Infrastructure Engineer(DevOps), you will build, maintain, and support the OpenShift Container Platform in a DevOps model. You’ll use code to bridge the gap between software and hardware and produce an efficient and reliable infrastructure. By harnessing your creativity and passion for continuous learning, you’ll create a fully digitized end-to-end process for managing the lifecycle of infrastructure resources. You’ll deploy programmable, easily customizable infrastructure that embraces change and automates the deployment process to reduce risk. You’ll also analyze all platform level changes, monitor application impact, and provide appropriate technical solutions to resolve all issues quickly and efficiently. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities
Executes increasing variety of user stories with different contexts across the different stages of the product lifecycle
Uses automation, system tools, open-source solutions, observability and 'security first' principles in daily work
Contributes to team agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms
Comfortably implements solutions using automation, observability and security principles
Engages in adoption of new technology
Continues professional education; learns key product capabilities and has desire to learn higher levels of craftsmanship in day-to-day engineering tasks
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelors – Computer Science or related
1+ Years – (Software) Engineering, DevOps or related
Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of advanced beginner on the Dreyfus engineering scale
Preferred Qualifications
Bonus Points If You Have:
Understanding of OpenShift / k8s Master control plane components.
Understanding of k8s operator model.
Understanding of any one OpenShift / K8s supported Networking CNI. (Plus if you know Calico )
High level understanding of AWS infrastructure (VPC / Security groups / EC2 / Storages / Load Balancers)
Understanding of platform automation products like RH ACM / Terraform / Ansible
Programing skills in Golang language (is a Super Advantage)
Scripting languages like shell / Helm modules or some programming experience.
Nice to have event driven programing understanding.
Any cloud experience like Azure / Google as infra as a service provider

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $71,500.00 to $121,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
