JOB DESCRIPTION
An immigration specialist is responsible for assisting individuals with the immigration process. This may include helping individuals fill out paperwork, providing information about the immigration process, and helping individuals prepare for interviews with immigration officials. He/she will possess in-depth knowledge relating to employment laws and immigration-related matters
RESPONSIBILITIES
Being an Immigration Subject matter expert Single point of contact for all immigration-related questions and a resource to take the workload of document completion away from employees where possibleProvide support in the completion of documentation and be the bridge between the employee and immigration law firm where neededSupport with the provision of Ford company information to complete immigration documentsSets expectations about immigration process timings to ensure the business is aware of the timelines needed for travel to certain locationsKeep updated and aware of current immigration matters within the company and in the wider industryConduct strategy calls with Operations, HRBO, and employees to answer any questions and alleviate concerns Support the Internal Immigration Team and work with global Immigration suppliers
Review, create, and provide necessary documentation for employees Develop creative solutions to employee immigration needs when necessaryUpdate the team on immigration practices in the region and partner with the global immigration manager to create a full understanding of global immigration needs for the companySupport the Mobility and Travel policies and investigate and recommend best practices to improve the employee experienceKeeping up to date with alterations to immigration laws.

QUALIFICATIONS
You should have at least over 6 years of immigration experience preferably with an international professional firm In-depth understanding of immigration legislation, and employment lawsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, and passion for delivering quality workGood Communication and Demonstrated customer service and partnership skillsMust be willing to work in a different Time Zone scheduleAnalytical and continuous improvement mindsetGood problem-solving skills, Proactive and self-motivated
